About

Summer 2023

A2Z Fruits & Veggies was born with the challenge to learn new things. To try something new. 
The inspiration came during the summer, sitting with my dad (Doug) who is 90 and in Assisted Living. Many of the other 90+ residents participated on a daily basis, keeping track of the progress and inquired about each character story.

To educate and entertain children through silly, imaginative stories.
We started with a list of 26 fruits & vegetables - each beginning with an alphabet letter
A through Z. Then 26 different emotions, 26 different dwelling, 26 different locations,
26 different hobbies or sports. Mixed them all up, for the premise of each story.

The goal - to have each character learn about life,
interacting with ANIMAL friends who would help guide them on the journey. 

The joyful Avocado who lives in a tent, on the beach and loves to dance.
The curious Banana who lives in a mobile home, near a hot springs and does origami.
The content Carrot who lives in a treehouse, in the desert and loves to skateboard.
The lonely Date who lives in a mansion, by a waterfall and loves to fly kites.
The anxious Eggplant who lives in an igloo, near a glacier and likes to paint.
The empathetic Fennel lives in a castle, near the forest and likes to do zip lining.
The embarrassed Garlic who lives in a haunted house, near a river and plays the piano.
